The International Institute of Security and Perpetuity Training Limited have entered into a partnership agreement to produce Distance Learning Programmes for students leading to the Institute’s long established Certificate and Diplomate awards in Security Management examinations, as well as introducing a new Introductory Certificate in First Line Management (Security) at VRQ Level 3.
This new partnership seeks to capitalise on the strengths of both organisations in promoting a three stage professional security management award and structure basis for those wishing to enter or progress through the various career levels of security management. Through this process, companies requiring skilled security managers, or individual security practitioners, can study at their own pace for the Certificate and Diploma awards as part of a modular based distance learning process. Both courses are designed to prepare students for the IISec examinations and through which means they can apply to join the Institute in the category of Member (M.IISec) or Diplomate (Dip.IISec).
Perpetuity, in designing the Introductory Certificate in First Line Management (Security) as a short direct learning course has sought to cater for those new to the role of Security Management or those seeking to enhance their skills as security managers. A ‘Graduate’ membership of the Institute is proposed for those attaining this award (Grad.IISec).
“We believe that in forming this new partnership with Perpetuity we can work together - and with others, such as Skills for Security - to provide and continually improve a system of career training and qualifications that is fundamental to establishing true security professionals for those entering or wishing to progress at all levels of management in our industry.”
IISec Chief Executive – John J.B Allan
“We are delighted to be working in partnership with IISec to produce a number of Distance Learning Programmes. These programmes provide a fundamental stepping stone and a strong foundation for those wishing to enhance their management prospects and develop a career within the security industry”
Director Perpetuity Training Ltd., Dr Karen Gill
